Dr. Santos-Ocampo was born in Cleveland, Ohio then was raised in Manila, Philippines.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology magna cum laude from the University of the Philippines.  He then completed his Doctor of Medicine from the same university.

        He spent the next several years at Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island training in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases.  After his fellowhip, he held a faculty position with the school of medicine before deciding to return to the Philippines.  His pioneering work in nuclear and interventional cardiology was recognized in 1999 by being awarded as one of the "Ten Oustanding Young Filipinos."

       Dr. Santos relocated to Naples in 2002 to join the Heart Group.  He continues to practice general, consultative, nuclear and interventional cardiology.  He carries board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology.  He is a founding member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians and the American College of Cardiology.

       Dr. Santos and Joanna are very proud of their two sons.  Carl attends the University of Notre Dame.  He plays on ND's golf team and has won several state, national and international awards.  Casey attends the Community School of Naples and has also been cited for his athletic prowess in his chosen sport of baseball.
